Excellent ergonomic design, more comfortable operation, awesome every day
Microscopic observation is essential in many cases. Researchers need to complete tasks quickly and accurately while maintaining focus for extended periods of time.
The design of the Nikon ECLIPSE Ci-L plus biological microscope emphasizes both usability and the health and working habits of researchers.
The Ci series, with higher comfort and usability, brings revolutionary changes to microscopic observation
Even if used for a long time, it is not easy to cause eye fatigue
The Light Intensity Management (LIM) feature developed by Nikon automatically stores any changes in brightness settings. This helps to avoid drastic changes in brightness when switching between different magnifications during observation, thereby reducing eye fatigue
Maintain a natural posture during observation
Maintain a constant observation posture through automatic brightness adjustment
The LIM function can save and retrieve the optimal brightness level of each objective lens, without the need to manually adjust the light source and change the posture every time the objective lens is switched
User friendly platform operation
By adding an objective disc washer, the height of the stage can be reduced by 20 mm from the standard position, thereby reducing strain during frequent sample changes. The height of the stage handle can also be adjusted to ensure a comfortable hand position. You can use the refocusing knob to lock the height of the stage for quick refocusing after sample replacement. The carrier is coated with a highly durable and scratch resistant ceramic coating.
Experience the joy of higher efficiency during the observation process
Clear status display for easy confirmation
Without changing the observation posture, the magnification and brightness settings can be quickly and easily confirmed using the display screen at the bottom of the microscope
Automatically adjust the scale when rotating the objective dial
The ruler on the computer display screen will automatically change to match the magnification, without the need to manually set the ruler.

Bright and uniform environmentally friendly lighting
Eco illumination is a low-power and environmentally friendly lighting system. Its 60000 hour high brightness LED can produce uniform brightness and reduce the cost and workload of bulb replacement. By combining collimating lenses, compound eye optics, and LED illumination, bright and edge to edge uniform images can be obtained even at high magnification. LED lighting fixtures have low heat generation and provide the same color temperature every time they are amplified.
Easily capture images
During observation, simply click the image capture button on the microscope base and the Digital Sight camera will capture the specimen image. The observation technology icon on the touch screen of the DS-L4 camera control unit provides the best camera settings for each observation method. In addition, the ECLIPSE Ci series microscopes can be connected to remote PCs via DS-L4 for remote viewing, online education, and remote collaboration.
Multiple observation techniques
Regardless of the zoom range, high contrast images with neutral background coloring can be captured. This observation technique is suitable for observing unstained structures.
Simple polarization
Very suitable for observing birefringent samples such as collagen, amyloid, and crystals.
*There are two types of deflectors: the middle tube type and the objective disc slide type.
Sensitive color polarization
Identify uric acid crystals by changing the interference color. This technique is very suitable for gout and pseudo gout testing.
*There are two types of deflectors: the middle tube type and the objective disc slide type.
Dark Field
Being able to observe blood or tiny structures such as flagella clearly. Dry and oil type spotlights are available. Extended lens for brighter imaging
Epifluorescence
The compact epifluorescence attachment with noise termination mechanism can capture weak fluorescence specimens with extremely high clarity and brightness. The CI-FL fluorescence attachment (containing up to 4 filter cubes) and the D-FL fluorescence attachment (containing up to 6 filter cubes) can be easily switched between blocks. We can provide high-performance optical objectives for epifluorescence imaging, including the CFI Plan Apochromat Lambda series and the CFI Plan Fluor series.
Objective lenses that meet diverse needs
We offer a variety of objectives that are most suitable for laboratory and observational work, such as the Plan Fluor 10X objective with a working distance of up to 16mm, and the CFI Plan Apochromat Lambda series objective with excellent optical performance.
Digital microscope camera DS-Fi3
The 5.9 million pixel CMOS image sensor can capture images up to 2880 x 2048 pixels, and its color tone can accurately represent the sample.
NIS Elements L imaging software
By connecting the Digital Sight 1000 or DS-Fi3 to a tablet with NIS Elements L installed, the observed specimen images can be shared with other computers via the network. The software also includes various measurement and annotation functions.
