The LightCycler 96 uses a high-intensity white solid-state excitation light source, with each sample well corresponding to two equidistant optical fibers. One fiber is used to excite the fluorescence signal, and the other is used to capture the fluorescence signal. The excitation/emission light is both transmitted through independent equidistant optical fibers, ensuring high optical density and completely consistent light guiding distance, achieving complete elimination of optical edge effects for the first time on a 96 hole instrument.

LightCycler ° 96 adopts the widely acclaimed silver temperature control module design from LightCycler "480, bringing high temperature uniformity (Tm ± 0.2C) and rapid temperature rise and fall capability (completing a conventional PCR reaction in less than 40 minutes).

Specially equipped with gradient PCR function, it facilitates the exploration of experimental conditions for small samples, and can perform up to 12 temperature gradient reactions simultaneously.
